Step back into Hanwell and discover the world beyond it. Set in the deeper parts of London, explore Westminster and uncover the truth about yourself. Explore a rich, atmospheric take on Westminster and it’s various Locations. Filled with lore and secrets to discover. All new dual control melee combat system, land each hit and combo with satisfying intensity. Scavenge scarce but available weapons and ammo with new shooting mechanics. Use the environment in creative ways to take out the Anomolies. Set them on fire, electrocute them, crush them and more in frantic efforts to survive. Follow the story in your own way, non linear open gameplay makes for a unique experience. Immersive. All player feedback is displayed in game, with no HUD whatsoever to keep the player immersed and the tension high.
Explore a dynamic environment. Discover locations in Westminster and uncover it’s secrets. Beyond Hanwell is dense, detailed and atmospheric, explore, search, scavenge and survive. Explore unique locations, with different creatures and boss fights in each place you visit. I’ve only played the first 2.3 hours and so far its what I expected. I enjoyed the Teaser so I figured why not buy the full version. I’ll post some gameplay, link down below if interested. I got stuck with a boss near the end of this first recording, but will continue soon. The puzzles are not too difficult. I’d still like to see a longer Battery life. *Hint Devs. Not that big of a fan of the sprint and weapons reload mechanics. They seem a bit clunky. Other than that. Good atmosphere, decent story-line, Great level designs and the creep factor is off the chart.
Beyond Hanwell Direct Play:
The audio for me is a mixed bag, Impressive audio ambience handicapped by a horribly loud and distorted “Recorded messages” *Hint Devs. Excellent first playthrough. I’m excited for the new releases on the next update for the game. Enjoyed the bosses, the music is great. The game is early access so i did run into some issues but nothing major. Continuous patches are in development. Combat is different but it works! Feel as if the story could be slightly better but that was just my personal opinion when i finished the main story. I streamed this game for the first time on Twitch. Overall very impressed with the game and the developers! So far, I am really enjoying this game. It has some minor issues other reviews have mentioned but really surprised by the mixed rating so close after release (though rightfully has changed to positive.
