Boson X Direct Download
Quantum jump your way to critical velocity in Boson X: the rotational runner set in a particle collider. Build up speed inside a massive particle accelerator and generate high-energy collisions to discover strange new particles. Use precise timing and fast reflexes to navigate a subatomic world where floors and ceilings don’t exist. Be fast enough to find the elusive Boson X. I started playing this game a little over two years ago after somebody mentioned it in the comments section of a Super Hexagon video on YouTube, saying something to the effect of “If you think this game is hard, then you should try Boson X!” Having been looking for a new game to try out, I decided I might as well buy it and see what the game was all about. Boson X quickly became my favorite game to play during downtime, such as before leaving for school or waiting to go someplace. I could play it while I was talking to friends online, while listening to music, or if I just needed to get my mind off of something, I could open the game and collide particles until I felt better.
My favorite part of Boson X is that there is no inherent end to how difficult it can become. As your score increases in a level, so does the speed of incoming tiles; the first level becomes just as difficult as the last level at a certain point. Each level has completely unique patterns, so it doesn’t feel monotonous switching between levels like it can be with Super Hexagon. Levels at higher percentages become thrilling to play, and the adrenaline rush that comes upon reaching a new high score on a level cannot easily be explained in words; it is something that must be experienced to be understood. I was not good at Boson X to start with; in the beginning I found myself struggling to beat many of the earlier levels and often times I would close the game out of frustration. I’d lose my motivation to play because I wasn’t sure I’d be able to beat a certain level. But I’d inevitably want to come back to it and try again and again until I overcame those daunting hurdles. And I just kept going, and eventually I finally beat the final level, and from then I was satisfied.
Boson X Pre-Installed:
Back at that time I had been leaderboard climbing on Super Hexagon, having scored at least five minutes in every stage. I considered that Boson X had leaderboards as well, and soon enough I began working on improving my scores there too. As time progressed, my high scores improved further and further, and on April 1, 2018, I achieved my first world record score, on the Dark X Boson stage. I did not stop there. At the time of writing this review, I hold seven world record scores among the eighteen stages, and I currently don’t have any plans on stopping. I recommend this game to anybody who enjoys challenging video games, and especially those who enjoy leaderboard climbing. If you fall under either category (or possibly both), then Boson X is for you. However, if you’re easily aggravated by games that don’t let things go the way you want them to, then avoid this title.
