It was a dark and stormy night when the helicopter had to make an emergency landing on an isolated island. Unfortunately for them, fate had a cruel twist in store. As the storm progressed, the chopper was violently tossed and turned until it landed on an isolated island shrouded in mystery. You will have to make a distress signal but this will surely attract the cannibals to you. From what little I’ve played, this game at launch is pretty impressive. It actually looks like a dev or devs that know what they are doing and like they even know how to code. This is a rarity it seems with indie survival games on Steam these days. It’s far from perfect and has plenty of odd wrinkles here at launch, but I fully expect this to get better with some updates just based on what is here now. If you’re looking for a super polished survival game, you should look elsewhere for sure and maybe put this on your wishlist to check on it from time to time over the coming months.
Comes with fantastic explainers for each system the game has to offer, so even players without any city-building experience will be able to enjoy their time. You can look these little in-game guides up any time you need them, which is neat. The game’s city planning and management elements teach valuable skills, creating an engaging and educational experience. The crafting system is well thought out, allowing you to create a wide variety of items to help you survive. It’s not just about finding canned food; you can also hunt animals, grow vegetables and fish for food, which adds a unique dimension to the survival experience. The addition of AI “ninja” bandits is a brilliant touch. These adversaries add an element of unpredictability and excitement to the game. You’ll never know when they might strike, keeping you on your toes and adding an extra layer of challenge.

These well-loved titles while introducing unique features that set it apart. You’ll find yourself scavenging for resources, building bases, and fending off hordes of zombies and other threats. The combat system is engaging and challenging, World is larger than it looks and full of random encounters & side objectives that feel rewarding to complete. A good mix of weapons keeps combat fun characters are believable & the Z hordes can be challenging. The controls are agile and swift, providing a dynamic experience. At certain points in the plot, we can even choose between various dialogue options, although they don’t carry much weight in the long-term experience. The combat, which I believe is the most important pillar, is a lot of fun, and if played on higher difficulties, it becomes a fairly intense challenge.
