After bouncing of this a couple of times I finally got down to business and finished it. A marvellous toybox of a game with no wrong way to approach any puzzle. Great characters, epic scope later on and turn based combat that took me right back to the SSI Gold Box games like Pool of Radiance & Champions of Krynn: spending up to 30 minutes on a single epic fight, to make a mistake that costs you your whole party…nice. 🙂 Definitely recommended and will be playing the sequel on the run up to Baldur’s Gate 3. Alien isolation is a great horror game, it is one of the few that is actually able to give me some replay value. the game gives you an abundance of resources on every difficulty except nightmare. i personally don’t recommend playing on nightmare difficulty on account of the fact that it is actually more boring then anything. the game goes above and beyond to make sure that the alien is as persistent as possible and that your resources are almost non existent. i did beat the game on nightmare and i can tell you for a fact that you should never try it unless you want to be bored, you cant defend yourself with molotovs of flame fuel because you run out so fast and you’ll never find any again. it’s just easier to wait, and there will be a lot of that.
