Colonize is a combination of survival game and building strategy that takes place during the colonization period – the 17th century. It tells the story of a settlement in the New World and all the difficulties encountered by the early settlers. Each city will expand the possibilities of the game and increase the difficulty of the conditions, such as the weather, the number of possible expeditions, and the size of the ships with which he trades with England. Colonize will have six cities the player must populate: Roanoke, Plymouth, Bermuda, Boston, Williamsburg, and Providence. Colonize is a building simulation that centers on the economy, management of population groups, and city management. It is an isometric classic. The player gradually builds a settlement, a city with the character of a city-state, with everything that goes with it. Slowly, you will make various building improvements, new raw materials, laws, forms of government, and city management.
Please be aware that this is a projected Roadmap for Colonize development. There are more minor improvements and bug fixes on our list. Given it is still in development, the game, so far, looks and feels amazing. I wish there were more buildings and system added to the playable version, but again, still in development, so can’t be angry about that. There was a bug in the tutorial part where you are required to build roads, where the building menu freezes and you can’t progress, had to restart the game and worked fine after that. Also, some villagers suddenly started floating / levitating while gathering resources? Does not impact gameplay but found it funny.
Colonize Free Steam Pre-Installed:
Played a bit on a single player map and I can say that I was hooked and completely immersed into the game. Roanoke map was the one I’ve played, going to give the other 2 a try as well, as I was very impressed with the game so far. This game doesn’t really just tick along for long, it is perpetually that really fun period where you’re still just trying to set up the supply chains, at increasing difficulties and with the roguelike unlocks that help along the way. The intuitive interface makes it easy for newcomers to jump right in and start building their dream city. The game’s learning curve is gentle, allowing casual players to enjoy the creative process without feeling overwhelmed by complex mechanics.
