My first session was nearly two hours long and I wanted to savor every moment. And while I only have two hours of game time, what I played was extremely fun and it brought back memories of having a pure sense of joy playing videogames that I have sorely missed in recent years.
Some potions take anywhere from 15 seconds to a few minutes. Plant seeds and growing a plant takes several minutes. I am not sure if the developers are trying to deter the player from making potions, but it is a drag making potions. For example, health potions take 15 seconds to create and it only yields one bottle at a time. If you want to make ten bottles, that would take at least two minutes. Not sure if the realism is needed here. And most of the buildings and rooms you find are enterable, with their interiors beautifully designed to immediately fill you with a sense of wonder and amazement. Magical brooms sweeping the floor, a floating kettle pouring tea for you as you brush off the snow from your shoulders, enchanted mechanical birds flying overhead and chirping a song for you.

It’s a dream come true for any Harry Potter fan. I would often find myself entering buildings that I had no business being in – just because I wanted to see what’s inside. In addition to all that, there’s also a massive countryside brimming with content as well. And it’s got some of the most beautiful vistas I’ve ever seen in gaming. Little huts and rivers, people painting and fishing, fireflies in the moonlight, quaint villages and comfy towns, all of which are magical in more than one way. And the game also features different seasons, which completely change how these places look and feel. The game is beautiful. The building, is simple, but very fun. Homes can be as complex or as basic as you want.
