Cursorblade is a bullet hell game where you play as the cursor, fighting your way through waves of enemies. Combine weapons and items to become more powerful with your own unique builds. Slash, dodge, upgrade, and repeat! love the idea of the game so far and enjoyed the demo, but every time I get past wave 20 or so the game keeps getting code errors. Also the purple shroom is bugged at level 8 and the variety is lacking a little bit Loved the Demo, Loved the Game, bought it the second it was released BUT sadly the Game crashes after a few Rounds and also there is a bug where the whole Game slows down and gets back up to full speed after a few seconds (which would be a cool upgrade but this was 100% not part of the Game x. To be honest, I don’t think I have much to say about this one. It’s a new bullet hell roguelite thingy where your movements are defined by your cursor. A simple premise done decently, I think! The enemies do attack very frequently though, so you can’t just wreck havoc and spin all over the place as often as you’d like.
Not every item feels as powerful as the other, but I have this complaint even more about the power-ups. Having the enemies wait a bit to attack at the start of each weave feels like 0,5 seconds of waiting before they attack you.. in my opinion not worth it, to get that power up. And there are more I always skipped because they don’t add that much compared 2 extra health, healing 2 health when picking up a heart, enemy bullets being slower, and the clover to find more hearts. This made that I always went for the same few and would use my rerolls to get them. Gladly the different skills feel more different and made each run feel different. There are different blades in the game, and some are easier than others. The main difference is the active skill each blade has. I didn’t use this feature as much as I maybe should have because to activate it you have to click the right mouse button, but in the hectic play that feels uncomfortable somehow.
Cursorblade Direct Play:
I wish that there was a setting in the menu to change it to the left or the right mouse button. I think I would use them more if it was the right mouse button. However, that would also maybe lead to accidentally using the skill. The achievements are very challenging. You have to get a 100K score with every blad,e which is already challenging, but mean… doing that with the glass blade is so much worse. After trying to get that for 8h now, I haven’t managed to get it yet. There are also achievements for killing the boss and beating 50 waves. furthermore, with the number of weapons, there are, if you keep doing your best you’ll be able to get to wave 50 in one of your runs.
