First experience online was a giant train covered in firework launchers and power drills that could barely navigate the city streets, alongside a tried-and-true mech which had a shield permanently attached to its feet so as if to look like the silver surfer as it glided through the air. Now, looking at the reviews… Yeah, I get it, it’s a bit of a clunky mech game that barely holds a candle to the other big name mech game that came out this years. That being said, I got this expecting EDF but with wildly customizable mechs. I got exactly what I paid for.

Sure, maps are a little bland, and controls are a little awkward, but I am quite liking what I got here. It isn’t gonna be for everyone, and it does feel a little expensive for what it is, but if you like it, you like it. I quite like it. You get to access the multiplayer and customization after 4 missions and then you can start doing random things. If you ain’t creative enough to make your own custom mech, you can go back to the main menu and access the research lab and prebuild one there. I don’t know if it’s intended since the lore states that the enemies are made of multiple AI programmings running at the same time which can cause conflicts.
