Cygni is a latest iteration in modern day shump genre that really did a lot in the visual department. At a glance it looks amazing. The graphics is fantastic to say the least but does the gameplay live up to it?

Well gameplay is very fast and fluid but sometimes feels a bit too rushed. Every second you spend in the game even on easy difficulty feels like you are here to dodge shower of bullets from every angle feasible. It’s chaotic and for the most part very good for those who wants to train their not-so-great reflex once more in this genre. Having played a lot of old school and amazing classic shumps and modern ones, I found it to be lacking in something. It could be that somehow the fluid fast movement and combat might be too much for me but I’ve experienced similar games prior and they felt fine. Something about the overall interaction with the enemy and synergy in combat feels a bit off. Either way, if you love this genre, it’s a must have. I can break it down more but let’s just sum up the overall experience.
