A solar flare has struck and every living soul is turning into a an aggressive being. In this unforgiving game, you have to survive against the living and the undead. In all my games, early access and more, I can’t remember ever seeing a more active developer who would address almost every single person and issue with an answer or promise to fix. Those fixes come quicker than expected and are implemented well. This alone is well worth giving it a try if you are into crafting survival zombie games. There is a suggestion section for which he clearly takes to heart and addresses. This developer really seems to be someone who loves this project but wants it to be loved and enjoyed and not basking in the revelry of being called a game developer. All that said, now to the game. The current states major issue is that there is a small tutorial at the beginning, but after that not much as of now to explain things. You will need to learn crafting and what things open up more options. It’s a challenge but to me, adds a little excitement. I’m sure there will soon be many tutorials and guides and maybe a codex, but as of now you need to play.
I have seen questions about how it relates to 7D2D or similar. It is similar to 7D2D and Mist but it does have its own spice and so far has enough unique quality to give it its own try. As of now it is somewhat of a Fortress Protection game with waves coming in every 4 days or so. This is not my thing but I am still able to enjoy the other parts. This has been somewhat complained on in the idea thread (which I understand. It has been done and can get boring), and the dev immediately decided we could change the game modes as soon as he can get to that update. The Zombies – They are actually funny. There are currently a couple different looks but there will be more in the future that attack in different ways. They have the right amount of HP and are easy enough to take care of and figure out, but can exploit your overconfidence quickly if you catch yourself off-guard and get teamed up on.
