Death and Taxes Free Download PC game in a pre-installed direct link with updates and DLCs from Steam-repacks.
About The Game
In this small Indie, short narrative-based game, you take the role of the Grim Reaper… on an office job. Your job is to decide which people are going to live or die. Your choices will affect the world around you. Keep the chaos away or foil plots to destroy the world and rise through the ranks of Reapers all the way up to MIDDLE-MANAGEMENT, wow! Death and Taxes is a game in the vein of narrative-based indie titles, such as “Papers, Please”, “Reigns”, “Beholder” and “Animal Inspector”, to name a few. The consequences of your choices are yours to bear, while the mystery of your incarnation awaits revelation! Story: Moderately long story, but still great. Plenty of choices, but I do think there is a major problem with keeping with a certain mood. For example I have the ability to be super rude to Fate (a main character), but I don’t have this ability throughout the game’s dialogue. So some times I will be telling Fate how much I hate this job and how I didn’t miss him, but other times I will be listening to whatever he says without an option of I don’t really care. Some characters are perfect like Fate and Mortimer, but others I get bored or annoyed of quickly. Especially.
Gameplay & controls: The game has perfect controls, and the gameplay fits for what the game is about. The game just needs explanations on how to use some of the items Mortimer sells you. Visual design: Some characters were designed creatively, but I found some to be pretty boring if I’ll be honest. Lady Pawdington (the cat) isn’t cute to me, especially in some scenes which is disappointing, I wanna see a cute cat. Music and SFX: Music is pretty good, but I did get bored of it after a couple hours, there’s only 3 song in the background which are like a couple minutes and loop. The sound effects worked well, I enjoyed the clock sound after making the decision to kill a certain person (no spoiler), but I was disappointed when there wasn’t a special sound effect for saving said person.
Enjoyment: I enjoyed it for the first couple hours, especially being rude to Fate and being his pet. Got bored of the game once I started achievement hunting, I think it was a lot due to how lost I was while playing since I had no idea how close I was to achieving many of my goals. Bugs & Other problems: I found 2 annoying things, first sometimes Fate’s reactions to certain events were confusing, it was annoying because I had no idea if I was on the right track for the ending I wanted. Also the lamp just didn’t show me all the results for a decision. Usually it shows outcomes, but sometimes it just doesn’t show all of them when put on the table, I enjoy how I can leave sheets on the table so I can review them quickly, but the lamp sometimes didn’t show all outcomes unless I picked it up and dropped it again.
