Disco Elysium is a heavy text-based game, I played in 2020 and 2021, nearly 12 hours spent but unfortunately not finished. This time I aim to get through, knowing if not I won’t touch it again. Replaying reminds me why I gave up twice – the struggle to understand the story is intolerable. Not because of a wall of text or huge information, but the story is not told in good order – the narration is non-linear, like grabbing pieces of jigsaws but not knowing where to put them because the whole picture is hidden.
