You’ll find that with all ‘beginner friendly’ game-making engines and code handlers, you’ll still need to do your own research and learn how to use the tools you’re given if you want to make substantial projects. Discord Bot Maker has a very active community; helpful and cohesive documentation; and a LOT of technical horsepower for a $10 program.
Because there are so many features, it may take you a while to learn what everything does BEFORE you start creating functional bots, but the potential in the base program is well worth the price alone. Custom scripts and mods are easy to find online, and learning how to create them yourself makes DBM double as an effective learning tool for JavaScript. When I couldn’t find an answer to a problem online, I consulted the official Discord server. A lot of people answer questions there; Some questions are ignored, have already been answered, or solutions are explained poorly, but I find that those are all problems in communities that rely on voluntary/unpaid technical support. The creator was helpful enough to assist me and a friend configure a dynamic game status on our bot, and was not rude whatsoever. I cannot, however, speak for everyone.
