About The Game
DOOM 64, originally released on the Nintendo 64 in 1997, is now available for the first time on PC. Fight against demons in your crusade to hunt down the Mother of Demons and stop Hell’s invasion. As you battle through more than 30 action-packed levels, be on the lookout for enhanced weapons and secrets to help you put an end to the demonic threat. Doom 64 may not have been developed by Id Software like the first two games, but Midway did a great job at capturing what makes Doom such a compelling game while also adding a little of their own touch. All of the classic Doom baddies and guns are here, as is the emphasis on exploration and traps. It’s a darker, moodier game than its predecessors, however, and it eschews the traditional Doom enemy sprites for brand new ones that often have unique interpretations of the classic enemies. It may also go a bit too far in terms of secrets, however, as the final boss is a bit too OP if you fail to find several secret items and levels during your playthrough.
Nonetheless, Doom 64 is a strong entry in the Doom canon, and kudos to Nightdive to bringing this game back from the grave. I’m having this weird bug were the game just keeps randomly switching my weapons (It only started happening after I got to the 3rd level), even when I’m not pressing anything. It is honestly making it unplayable right now and if they can patch it then I can recommend it. (Also I have tried fixing it my self and have not been able to another great update to a classic game, to be honest the n64 version is almost unplayable but thats just me i only felt goldeneye/perfect dark as a 64 FPS the console wasnt made for FPS so this game never reached its true potential, until this release and its a Must play in the doom series (yes the doom series isnt that expansive so they are all must plays except doom 2016) just buy and play this gem of a game oo and the price is low.
