About The Game
DUSK reintroduces you to a world where butchery and bloodshed must be mastered… if you’re to survive ’til dawn. Inspired by Doom, Quake, Blood, Heretic, Hexen, Half-Life, Redneck Rampage and all your ’90s favorites, while featuring a soundtrack by metal music mastermind Andrew Hulshult. In three distinct campaign episodes hand-crafted from straight outta the ’90s, players will battle through an onslaught of mystical backwater cultists, possessed militants and even darker forces and attempt to discover just what lurks beneath the Earth. Featuring a vast arsenal of badass weaponry including sickles, swords, crossbows, rifles, dual-wielded and double barreled shotguns and incredibly necessary grenade and rocket launchers, DUSK brings unapologetic retro action from start to finish. In addition to the main campaign, DUSK features an Endless Survival Mode, putting you front and center against wave after wave of merciless enemies.
And for those looking for an extra challenge, DUSK also offers the chance to go head to head online to battle your friends in DUSKWorld arena multiplayer, where darkness hosts the worst of humanity in surprising new ways… Yea just the first 20 hours in this game is enough to know its going to be another EPIC story and edition to Farcry. I have not disliked a single Farcry yet, every one has been an amazing adventure and incredible graphics to go with it. My fav is probably Farcry 4, it was so well structured, you just knew what and where you were logically all of the time and teh story was so logically chronological. Farcry 5 was good too, but not as well organised or structured, but New Dawn improves on that to a huge degree, its a very bright game, lots of pink etc, the graphics are second to none in gaming, the physic’s improves with every farcry but Farcry doesnt have a huge amount of real physic play in it yet still, but the game itself is awesome, its just FUN, which is what games are supposed to be, fun.
The first game had some extremely boring environments and in what I had played a lot of enemies just lurking around corners. Granted, I didn’t get very far or play it for long. The second one has these things too, but it sure has a lot more variety and it just makes for a much better experience. Just like Dark Souls the entire world is connected, but there are areas that need to be loaded in in order to progress (i.e. going from inside to outside and vice versa). Not a big deal at all, but it goes give the impression these are all separate areas. The world itself looks messy and sometimes it feels like things were just melted or patched together. So much for sci-fi. The game doesn’t have a dark or moody atmosphere like the Dark Souls games – it’s actually quite sunny in comparison – but it can get a bit tense nevertheless. This is mainly because of the combat (situations).
