I think you would be forgiven for thinking that this game is another garbage asset flip, even with my natural instinct to land on every turd I felt some initial resentment, but I am really glad I gave it a try, the game is truly something special, probably the strangest game I ever attempted to play, not to mention a surprising amount of narrative escapism that it provides. It may feel a bit clunky and I think it’s part of the charm, but if you give it a chance, you might find a very charming collection game, full of very deep and thought-provoking themes, hilarious moments, and just overall creative mechanics – admittedly a bit disturbing at times. Back in 2021 I think you gave me a review copy for your last game which I did not enjoy at all, I thought the weirdness of it came across like bait, I felt you were trying too hard to make something different… Wait, it has 100% positive reviews? **** me. Well, at least in my opinion, I think something about focusing more on free exploration and sandbox mechanics in this game fits your idea a lot better, and whenever I interact with characters in this world, it does not feel forced the same way.

I would even say that the game is extremely thought-provoking, I like that it does not shy away from being an analogy of how mad our society actually is, homeless, drugs, inequality, and just overall moral decay. The game has a lot of very cool sandbox mechanics, like you can use different abilities to interact with the world in cool ways, like using pills on different characters and objects to modify the world for navigation. The game is not small, there are several different areas and unique locations, as well as using the ability to bypass the walls to uncover even more places to explore. At first, I felt like the game had a very assety look to it, but the more I explored the more it seemed like you did a ton of custom work for it, like there is so many weird and cool looking structures to see, it’s very motivating to navigate it. Not to mention the game just feels pretty big, there are several town sections and you can even go inside the objects at one point so it kinda doubles up. You ever had one of those strange dreams where you explore a world that does not make any sense, that is how I feel playing it.
