Falnarion Tactics III is the third and final installment of the Falnarion Tactics series and picks up after the events of Falnarion Tactics II. A mysterious new threat seeks to reawaken an ancient evil and destroy the kingdoms of Nerfelo. Only the allies of the past and present can stop it. Will they be enough to defeat the new evil or will they crumble under the pressure? A reckoning is on the way and blood will spill. When the dust settles, who will be left standing? It’s so odd that you frequently check again and again to see if you’ve missed the point of this room/puzzle, it can’t be that you are just supposed to jump on two platforms and move on, right? The room must have taken a few days to make. But yes, almost always that is the case. Each time I acquire something new, I wonder how the game could possibly stop me from cheesing through. But it always finds a way, with a new puzzle designed precisely around my abilities – requiring precision and ingenuity to solve.
Beautiful, addicting world full of satisfying, but often undemanding fights. Using magic was exteremely fun and gave multiple possibilities of having a great combat experience (you can try stealth, defensive plants, potions, choose to learn unforgivable curses or just use mastered spells) quite nice character development-you can spend talent points on improving your magic skills and upgrading your equipment items. The “Adventure” part of the gameplay, as I mentioned before, is for the most part exploration and puzzles. These aren’t particularly difficult in general, even though some of them had me thinking a bit in order to solve them. You’ll need a pretty beefy PC in order to run the game at max details, but it’s going to look amazing even on lower presets. Also remember to always take your time and tweak the options in order to get the best look / performance balance.
Falnarion Tactics III Direct Play:
I just wish this game was longer, i loved every second of playing it, from the realism of upgrading your weapons in a workbench, to the phenomenal soundtrack. The landscapes, how detailed the facial animations are, everything was developed with so much care, even the letters you find around the world tell a story and make the apocalypse feel so real, like something happened in each of those empty buildings. There’s also the more human upgrades like healing or crafting speed which can be done by spending supplements. Found in either pill bottles or by harvesting the plants the supplements are derived from. The game actually does a very good job at making switching weapons rather cumbersome until further into the game and you upgrade your pack.
