there’s something very compelling about how dire this game is, and a lot of that is purely the audio design of the whole thing. i understand criticisms that it’s slow, but i also wonder what people expected— this game is honest with you right off the bat. “welcome to the most boring and stressful maintenance job in the country.” finding comfort in the circumstances and unease of your new job in this game is something interesting— you never quite feel all the way at ease. and it can be easy, at a point, even if you play at the higher difficulties, but that ease feels earned when everything is a currency. everything you need to get more air is at a distance from everything else, and distance spends the breath you earn with every step. at 7 hours, ive eaten this game up to the bones, and i think it was very worth the price. 🙂 train must run
