Gallery X Video Game “Back to the starting point again, why?” These words echo through the dimly lit corridors of “The Exit 8,” a mysterious and unsettling game that defies explanation. Trapped for hours on end, our protagonist finds themselves caught in an inexplicable loop, returning to the same place over and over. Is it a dream? Or something far more sinister? It is an indie adventure game that challenges players’ memory and wits. With 86 anomalies scattered throughout, most seemingly innocuous, it’s up to you to navigate this enigmatic world. Each decision matters, and a wrong turn sends you back to square one. Armed only with a flashlight, you explore the darkness, seeking answers. There’s a cabinet. Bad news: There’s a cabinet. What purpose does it serve? Perhaps it’s mere decoration, or maybe it holds a crucial clue. Only by exploring further can you unravel its secrets. The game draws inspiration from games like “The Stanley Parable” and “P.T.” Expect a playtime of 30-60 minutes, during which you’ll encounter cryptic puzzles, eerie environments, and unexpected twists.
It offers two distinct endings, each shaped by your choices. Will you break free from the loop, or remain trapped forever? This game is a labor of love. Created by a solo developer who learned game development from scratch, “The Exit 8” is fully voiced by the same creator. If you find any imperfections, rest assured that they’re committed to improving in future projects. The man walking down the main path moves at an unnaturally rapid pace. If he catches up to you, you’ll start again at Exit 0. In the dimly lit corridors of Gallery X, each anomaly holds a cryptic clue. As you explore, you’ll encounter peculiar individuals—the fast walking man, the staring man, the smiling man, the large man, and the disappearing face man. Their presence is unsettling, and your choices matter: Fast Walking Man: Follow him for a potential shortcut, or avoid him to explore other paths. Staring Man: His relentless gaze prompts a decision—confront or evade? Smiling Man: His eerie smile conceals hidden knowledge; proceed with caution.

Sparse light sources—flickering bulbs, moonlight filtering through cracked windows—add to the tension. The interplay of light and shadow guides your exploration. The textures are meticulously crafted. Crumbling wallpaper, faded paintings, and worn-out floorboards evoke a sense of history and mystery. From the moment you step into the gallery, tension grips you. The slow, deliberate movement adds suspense. Each door you choose feels like a critical decision. The pacing encourages thorough exploration. Investigate every corner, examine details, and piece together the puzzle. The game doesn’t rush you—it invites curiosity.
