Construct shops, hire staff, automate deliveries with couriers, and attract tourists to town, all while managing infrastructure and avoiding catastrophes! Who said being mayor was going to be easy… Build and decorate the town of your dreams. Convert tourists into townies; they will need a home, job and purpose. Impress visitors to unlock new buildings, decorations and tools. Use terraforming to shape the world to your heart’s desire.. Customise your character. Play solo, local split-screen co-op or Remote Play. Take on tricky timed challenges (or just chill fishing). Try to avoid major catastrophes. Gather materials using a variety of power tools. Refine raw goods into complex materials. Feed your town with locally grown produce; raise bees, cows and crops. Fish in places where fish ought to be (warning: fish not guaranteed). Clean the city to keep tourists happy (and rejoice when you unlock the bubble gun). High-five the animals.
Amazing game, Animal Crossing meets Automation and actual fun customization of the town. Even in early access it can keep you entertained for hours and hours just building up an amazing town and getting everything the way you want it. Definitely well worth the money and a blast to play. The future possibilities with this game are endless. The game may seem difficult at some point, due to lots of automation features. You have to manage resources production or your storages will fill up very quickly. But overall – the game is super cute and definitely worth its money, even without sale. The galactic economy successfully walks the tightrope of being complicated enough to present a rich and satisfying economy that allows for endless back and forth with the AI players.

I still made mistakes which made my first 20-40 hours of play painful. I think fans would argue that “If I had just started in region X” or “If I had properly read popular guide Y” I’d have had a better time but I think realistically, a new player is going to make at least one mistake which will make their first game very hard or painfully slow. With its endless possibilities and addictive gameplay, it’s no wonder that I’ve spent over 200 hours lost in its pixelated universe. If you have even a passing interest in god games or sandbox simulations, do yourself a favor and give Worldbox a try. You won’t be disappointed. The automation/factory mechanics are every bit as good as Factorio. Possibly even better. It’s worth buying for that reason alone. The exploration is super fun (even if it doesn’t go all that far at the moment).
