Played for a few hours on the steam deck, works really well, constant 60 on the standard “high” setting supports 16:10 gameplay (cutscenes have bars, does not bother me) and its likely you can get 4-5 hours of gameplay typically, should get a verified status in no time. Easy and rather friendly to play for newcomers, it does not come across as tiring compared to modern games and can play a few rounds and put the deck to sleep, and come back later. The build parts work like they did in Gundam Breaker 3, which is a huge plus. No more frustrating lock-on issues like in New Gundam Breaker. The stats of the parts now provide a full breakdown, showing you the abilities and skills each part has. I’m not sure if this was in the previous games, since I played them in Japanese, but I really like that it’s included now.
GUNDAM BREAKER 4 Free Steam Pre-Installed:
A minor downside for me, which might be because I’m still in the early game, is that the missions feel too short. However, playing on hardcore difficulty makes the bosses and enemies much tougher, which extends the missions. For instance, it took me 16 minutes to beat the first boss on hardcore mode, and it was a blast. Overall, the game seems to be performing well. I haven’t encountered any bugs yet, and it gives me the same good feeling I had when playing on my PS4. So far, I’d give it a solid 10/10. This game’s customization options are super fun and great to dive into. Customization and combat is a lot more like Gundam Breaker 3’s and so far feels very fluid and fun. If you liked 3, you should like this game too.
