Half-Life® 2: Episode Two is the second in a trilogy of new games created by Valve that extends the award-winning and best-selling Half-Life® adventure. As Dr. Gordon Freeman, you were last seen exiting City 17 with Alyx Vance as the Citadel erupted amidst a storm of unknown proportions. In Episode Two, you must battle and race against Combine forces as you traverse the White Forest to deliver a crucial information packet stolen from the Citadel to an enclave of fellow resistance scientists. Episode Two extends the award-winning Half-Life gameplay with unique weapons, vehicles, and newly-spawned creatures. One of the best games ever created for any platform, period. Valve made such a solid physics-based game that it holds up solidly almost two decades later. The graphics, while dated at this point,
remained ahead of their time for years after the game was released. The rock-solid physics based puzzles and gameplay are unrivaled today, with the only real contender being the physics sandbox presented by BotW. Valve took the winning gameplay loop from the original HL and just added on – more lore, more weapons, more enemies, larger maps, better character models, better AI… they took what worked and ran with it. The game is an incredible sequel in an incredible franchise. Even more Half-Life 2. Episode 2 is my personal favorite version of the game, it is semi short, however they changed the flashlight to have its own power source, this means the flashlight is NO LONGER TIED TO YOUR AUX POWER, this IMO is perfect since I like to go super fast while BHopping, and this means the flashlight will no longer be stealing your sprint and/or oxygen. This game is also the BEST LOOKING version of Half-Life 2, I just loved staring out in the distance and looking at the blue portal where the citadel once stood.
