The name of the gang is not a coincidence: The title is set in the Japanese Kansai metropolis of Osaka ; Kamagasaki is the unofficial name for the district “Airin”, which can easily be described as a social hotspot because it is mostly inhabited by day laborers and the homeless and has seen several uprisings since the 1960s.
