Hotel in the Dark that September 13, 2020, was the first day of it all. I had already arrived at the bus terminal early that morning, waiting for my ride. I needed to get to a little town that was a couple of hundred kilometers away. I promptly located a hotel. At first impression, the building appeared to be extremely contemporary. Such a signboard, with its lovely glowing letters spelling out the trap motel Veranda, was a typical size, not too high at the bottom. Lovely petite reception area with a cute girl at the counter. I think it was only five minutes before I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep. That’s the origin of it all. You’ll need to locate keys and open locked rooms as you go. A horror themed first-person game. Discover the hotel’s hidden gems. Get batteries for the flashlight you own. Track down hints and piece together the entire narrative into a single image. There are many mysteries that the shadows might hide.
Although the tale might need additional voiceovers, the graphics are good. I would eventually become stuck on a puzzle.It was probably something I overlooked. Not bad for sixty-nine cents. thumb in the middle. Moreover, the puzzle difficulty seem to have been watered-down, especialy compared to Road to Gehenna. There is also less out of bounds puzzles. Beautiful enviornments are a fun to explore, but the game’s biggest strengths are also its drawbacks. The above-ground gameplay, while not quite as bad as the original, is still this game’s weakest point, and I was grateful when I had served my time in those monotonous mountainous mazes and could return to the more interesting underwater environments.
