“The Night of the Purple Moon has returned. Facing the moonlight, the devil hunter Taiyo recalls a lost memory. To hunt devils… and to find himself… he embarks on a fateful adventure through a crack in the world.” HunterX: code name T is an action adventure with fast and stylish combat. Perfect your own fighting style using various weapon actions and magic, and explore an ever-greater world. Forge your own path and explore an ever-greater world that straddles the past and future! Exciting stories of your comrades, bewildering riddles, and terrifying devils await you. Collect a variety of weapons and shape your own action style! Experience more sophisticated and stylish combat with weapon-specific actions, dodges, guards, parries, and counterattacks. The exploration is fun (though you’re limited to a single type of custom map marker to mark all the places you want to come back to) and the abilities you obtain along the way add to both expanding that exploration and adding some value in the combat — and this very much IS a combat-focused game.
You’ll need to kill everything you see to keep up with the game’s punishing difficulty curve and to counter the increasing sponginess of enemies. You will also die. A lot. Often to instant death watery pits or some iffy hitboxes. A word on the hitboxes. They’re awful on certain bosses. I don’t think I’ve raged so much in a normal souls game as I did in this. I expect bosses to be punishing but the hitboxes on enemies in this mean you’re often swinging your weapon, it’s going through a massive chunk of the enemy, and you’re getting nothing. Combine this with the fact that enemies can and will juggle/combo you and there’s more frustration than I really feel there needs to be on the ‘Normal’ difficulty. The final boss was two-shotting me on the Normal difficulty at level 80. To sum up, I’d say that 80-90% of HunterX: Codename T is a decent soulsvania experience with a good variety of weapons, upgrades, spells, and enemies; the final area is Orange Popcorn’s typical bosses-as-minibosses boss gauntlet style area where they arrive in new combinations with more HP and more BS attack patterns, supported by additional enemies in the background, and a final boss that is rather overtuned.
HunterX Code Name T Pre-Installed:
HunterX: Code Name T is an platformer game that offers a mix of fast-paced combat and exploration in a world that spans both the past and the future. While the storyline may not be the game’s strongest suit, it compensates with enjoyable gameplay. The narrative, unfortunately, fails to leave a lasting impression, lacking elements that stand out or captivate the player’s attention. However, the game manages to make up for this shortcoming with its engaging and stylish combat system. One of the highlights of HunterX is the ability to perfect your fighting style using various weapon actions and magic. The game encourages players to experiment with different weapons, allowing for a personalized combat experience. The inclusion of dodges, guards, parries, and counterattacks adds depth to the combat, making each encounter feel dynamic and satisfying Despite the lackluster story, the game succeeds in delivering an enjoyable experience.
