Figure out your opponent’s unique characteristics and conquer devils and bosses! Over 170 types of items to collect, including different kinds of weapons, the forbidden Occult magic, and more. If you enjoy semi-challenging metroidvanias this may be for you. The controls are tight and the bosses aren’t complete pushovers. Normal enemies can even get the better of you if you don’t respect them. The music ranges from good to great. The English translation is not the best at release but it’s passable. A full playthrough took me about 11 hours and I had no major bugs or crashes, rare these days. Overall, a hidden gem among the pile of indie trash.
Estimated playtime of 11 hours for 100% completion. This game’s map is quite large and fast travel locations scattered around don’t make it too painful to backtrack around. There are a lot of items in this game, especially consumables, but I never really found the need to use them. Boss fights can be challenging at times as getting hit often inflicts a lot of damage. There is a lot of equipable gear and spells however and using the right ones can help immensely with dealing wit the bosses. There are some puzzles that are required, many of the solutions for these can be found in the form of notes while exploring. The game also features a new game+ mode after completion for a little extra value if that’s your thing.
