For those of you who are unable to see their loved ones ever again. I can’t see them anymore. But I really wish that I could see and hold them again. Where is my special person? I wonder if I will ever meet them again. “In His Time” is a 2D mystery-solving adventure game that faces these feelings. The main character Olly, a young boy who lost his father early, lives with his mother Lyla. His mother has recently become ill, so he is left to attend school and take care of the housework. Even at school, Olly is bullied by Bobby the big kid, and his cronies Mila and Hugo. He is also scolded by his teachers every day……. It was as if the world was pushing Ollie into a corner. One day Olly is threatened by Bobby and his friends and together they sneak into a spooky mansion. They steal “parts” of a certain work and escape, only to be caught by the owner of the house – an old man named Joseph.
Joseph, who claims to be a watchmaker, asks Olly what happened to him and says he won’t do anything bad to Olly if he gets the “parts” back from Bobby and his friends. Will Olly be able to reconcile with Bobby and the others? What will happen to his mother? And who is Joseph? Olly’s adventure begins. We hope you will join us to see how it ends and how he develops! This game is beautiful. It has a touching story, characters that were well-written and empathetic, and some good music. It has many Christian elements and themes, but it never feels like you’re being talked down at or hammered over the head with them. The puzzles were creative as well, if at times frustrating. I brute-forced the “spot the liar” puzzle. Some rooms were really tricky and I needed to find a walkthrough to figure out how some puzzles worked. Still, I’ve enjoyed this game so much that I decided to buy the DLCs as well.

One thing I forgot to mention in my original review is that there is a timer, which I thought was a bummer at first, but it’s actually just tied to the achievements, you can use as much time as you need to, if you don’t care about those. The gameplay mechanics are equally impressive. With puzzles to solve and obstacles to overcome, you’ll find yourself challenged while still feeling a sense of tranquility. Instead of focusing on fast-paced action, the game encourages you to take your time, observe your surroundings, and approach each situation with a calm and collected mindset. On top of that they added a full song music at the beginning and the end of the game which is really moving and make you reflect on everything you’ve passed through.
