In Stars and Time tells the story of Siffrin and their adventurer friends—a found family bound together by fate in order to end the tyrannical reign of an evil king. While you don’t need to play it to understand In Stars and Time, it’s fun to see the game’s roots. To move back to a positive, the writing is funny, sharp and the characters are likeable and charming, you’ll spend your first five or so hours gradually growing to like your crew of the stupidest group to ever be an RPG party. You will then spend the remaining gameplay time growing to hate everything and everyone around you as you are made to notice every minor annoyance ad infinitum. Buff animations at the start of combat firing off one a time for every single combat, enemies in hallways that are just kind of too narrow to reliably avoid.
