JETMAN is a very enjoyable game. It’s all about timing out your jumps with the enemies. Simple combat mechanic but it can be tricky to time the one button ability. Feedback from killing enemies and jumping is satisfying. Love the bright graphics and the bosses are cool looking. The music is excellent too. Y’all should go play this game. It’s sort of like Jump King but more enjoyable and without the usual movement from left and right. It’s literally just one button.
A fantastic premise and good execution. As the game is still undergoing development, I feel that the balancing flaws and occasional rough art that a player may come across are excusable- after all, the updates have routinely addressed those things in the past! While I’m waiting for the final release of the game to pass full judgement, I give the current game a 7/10, and expect that score to improve when it is complete. A must-play for anyone who likes the roguelike genre. I only have one issue, which is the lack of new content that is added, although it was great to see some cosmetics added as a DLC, I need something to bring me back to the game – New portal to pick from? New characters? I happily pay the price-tag for cosmetics to support the game as long as you bring us some new things to explore find and challenge ourselves with.
JETMAN Direct Play:
I was critical at first, since there isn’t really any competition in the ‘coop roguelite deckbuilding’ genre. But luckily my scepticism didn’t last long. The mechanics are simple but offer a plethora of strategies to try out. Even 2 characters of the same class may have completely different playstyles, which gives the player a lot of agency over his experience. Despite suggesting themes for each hero, the game doesnt prevents the player from taking a different path. The enemies are interesting and their mechanics fit into the ‘lore’ of the game, which always makes me feel like a lot of love and time were poured into it.
