JnG2 has a great intricate ship building system that I wish more Shoot’em Ups had. I get to build a ship in my imagine, and I get to play around with different builds to accomplish tasks. Man. This aspect is severely lacking in the genre, and it is a hook that keeps me around more than trying to 1’CC a game.

Now as for this title i suppose i can give some critique about the over the top flashing lights which there there is much more of than in JnG Gold which basically make it so that you don’t want to play too long in one session as it’s just so much on my weary old eyes and soundtrack is ‘ok’ compared to the absolute killer JnG OST made by Machinae Supremacy that had few to none weak tracks and had gems like Knee-deep in the Xoxx which is to me some kind of shooter game equivalent to the soundtracks of modern Doom games. No compromises, pure attitude…You know what i mean. ‘When the doom music kicks in’ -memes and so forth. JnG got a bit of that too despite being a small speck in the cosmos of popular culture compared to well known Doom.
