Play at your own pace. As you climb, you’ll come across breathtaking biomes full of flora and fauna, accompanied by a peaceful and atmospheric soundtrack. Brace yourself on arid, windy slopes, seek refuge in tunnels lit only by bioluminescence, and more. Meet the mysterious Ballast. This creature will help guide you throughout your journey by waking nature along your path and helping to reveal clues that will help you piece together the tower’s past and reach the top. I would often build a combo, and want to release the combo on a specific enemy, so I would look directly at them, hit the button and it would hit the person in the opposite direction. I believe there is a way to target people directly, but I couldn’t figure out how to use it fluidly, and just got frustrated a lot instead. The game is extremely repetitive, especially the combat.

The combat honestly I didn’t really feel was all that good from the beginning, and quickly felt like a chore that the game was constantly reminding me to do, with very little difference between each battle, and there are WAY too many of what I’m calling “random encounters” on the map, past the point of being fun anymore. Even the boss fights were all extremely similar, typically it’s web this thing until it’s punchable, then punch this thing until it’s not punchable anymore, repeat 3-15ish times per boss. The harder difficulty would have been what I picked first because the hardest one available seemed super easy to me most of the time.
