Really fun escape room game. I usually play this with 3 other friends and we have a blast trying to solve all of the puzzles. Most of the rooms have a good balance of trickiness vs knowing what order to do the puzzles in. While the controls themselves are responsive, the design choice to include an inventory where players can store every minuscule item becomes more of a hindrance than a helpful feature. It often leads to a situation where one player can monopolize the room, hoarding every object in sight and leaving others with limited opportunities to engage with the puzzles.
While the intention behind the inventory system may have been to enhance immersion and provide a sense of realism, it ultimately disrupts the gameplay flow and hampers the cooperative aspect of the game. By limiting the inventory to key items or relevant clues, the game would foster better collaboration among players, allowing everyone to actively participate in the escape experience. This would eliminate the need for an extensive inventory system, as players could directly interact with the objects in the virtual space. Such a shift would promote a more balanced and engaging gameplay experience, alleviating the frustrations caused by the current control and inventory design.

I was surprised and intrigued when I learned Amplitude had taken it on. I loved Endless Space 1 and Endless Legend. Bringing what they learned from those into a historical 4X certainly had a chance for it to be interesting. Instead, it looks like dropped most of what made Endless Legend unique and interesting among 4X games and simply made a slightly improved Civilization. This creates confusion and forces players to sift through each item individually, slowing down progress and impeding the overall enjoyment of the game.
