Just Skill Shooter 2 is a continuation of the legendary first-person shooter where you take on the role of a soldier fighting enemies in different maps. You have access to different weapons – a rifle, a shotgun or other- which you can use to eliminate enemy combatants. The game features two different maps – Slums and Military Base – each with its own unique challenges and obstacles. ENEMIES: You’ll be facing enemies dressed in military clothes, each with their own weapons and tactics. You’ll need to be quick on your feet and think on your toes if you want to make it out alive. WEAPONS: Choose the right weapon for each situation, whether it’s the long-range power of the rifle or the close-quarters carnage of the shotgun. MAPS: Explore two distinct maps – the Slums and the Military Base – each with their own set of challenges and dangers. Learn the layout of each map and use it to your advantage.
You don’t need to spend hours learning the game, hours learning how to fly, hours learning all the mats. That’s not to say there isn’t depth to an extent but they make it so accessible that anyone can play this game. The combat is challenging and can be punishing at times, the game forces you to calculate every approach and you can adjust your load-out on the fly to deal with different types of enemies and situations. You can’t just go in to a fight guns blazing here! You have several different ship types to choose from as you play the game, and there are several different areas of space to travel around and explore. The combat is satisfying and while I wish the game had fully animated cutscenes, I’m okay with the artistic choice they made. Especially since the game is fun to play.

The game expects you to be swift and mobile in combat, especially when playing the light class ships. The weapon variety is okay with your standard loot shooter mechanics behind them, works fine for what it is. Puzzles can be annoying and time consuming especially when they hide that last button where its not obviously visible, and the difficulty curve flips from being hard early game to easy as your ship becomes more powerful. The fast travel screens and loading screens are made palatable by devoting time to the ship building and the photo mode, both of which I hope are developed and expanded in future updates.
