I’m not the best at 2D platformers like this, I can manage with Mega Man or Metroid or similar games, but in games like Kitsune Tails, I die quite often. What Kitsune Tails gets right, is that it does not have any lives, checkpointing is very generous, and retries are very quick. Besides the gameplay, the story of Kitsune Tails is another big reason to recommend the game. It’s a simple feel good narrative, with a lot of humor and personality. The characters are endearing, and the cute art enhances their personalities. The queer themes are another highlight, adding to the humor and uniqueness of the game.On a technical level, Kitsune Tails is amazing. With level editing tools and the ability to make your own minigames with scripting, the game is posed to have a very vibrant community that creates additional content with Kitsune Tails’ tools.
