This game put a genuine smile on my face that was so tenacious, my face still hurts as I type this. I would say I’m one of those oddballs who bought this on account of being a fan of Jam2go’s music, but even so I wasn’t expecting how wonderfully done the game’s adaptive soundtrack turned out to be.
The core movement mechanics caught me by surprise as well. After getting to a certain point in the game, you end up realizing that even though you have unlimited 3D movement at your disposal, the game encourages you to “run” and “jump” on and between surfaces in the same way a cat would, especially through the kinds of tubes and tight spaces that cats are so fond of. It feels like a gentle guiding hand, rather than a dragging one that some games feel stuck in. Kitten Burst is a love letter to a bygone era of online culture. Its story tells the genuine The storytelling is truly touching, drawing me into a captivating narrative that resonates deeply. What sets it apart even more is the fantastic soundtrack, perfectly curated to evoke emotions and enhance the overall atmosphere.

You know what’s sad? This is the only game released in the recent years, that has been so much fun, innovative, exceeding my expectations, actually has a split-screen functionality, beautiful graphics, engaging gameplay and story, and requires a lot of COL-LAB-ORATION. The art style is beautiful as ever, the music delights and I have no idea how they do it but they’ve come up with oodles of wonderful puzzles once again! I like the fairy tale style of the later parts, but I always missed for the dark fantasy style of the first Trine. So I was glad to see a bit more serious story. There are many great lines of dialogue to be found if you go fully exploring all that the game has to offer far beyond the main story. I would say it’s even better than the main story, which is very exciting as well, but in the end didn’t exactly stick the landing for me. Still, I very much loved the journey and the places you get to go there.
