Kyoto Anomaly Steam Pre-Installed
You woke up early to reach the Hōkan-ji temple before any other tourists, yet you don’t seem to be getting any closer. You’ve become trapped in an endless loop, and the only way out is to spot what doesn’t belong. GameplayKyoto Anomaly takes between 30 and 90 minutes to complete, with multiple endings. Pay close attention to your surroundings. Notice anything wrong? Head left. Everything in order? Go right. Choose your path carefully, or be lost forever. If you’re into anomaly hunting games, Kyoto Anomaly is a must play. The atmosphere is incredible, it had me in cold sweat more than once. One of the better entries in this niche, and a solid recommendation for fans of subtle horror. The anomalies are not too difficult that you need to memorize every tiny detail to succeed.

You already know if you like this game or not. It’s an anomaly game. The anomalies are sometimes fun and sometimes scary. It’s good to have the tip system as there’s nothing worse than just failing while swearing blind that there was no anomaly. Graphics are good, the voice acting is good. No bugs I noticed. What I liked about the game was definitely the feedback about missed anomaly, ability to run, highlight on coin, voice acting (it gave some personal touch). Anomalies were in between. Some were interesting and you had to notice some things, others were “in your face”. I wish there was some staging / balance done so early on anomalies are easy to detect and later you have to be careful not to miss it. Also normal randomness didn’t feel great. I got same anomaly like 4 times while doing about 20 loops (body part rain), this felt cheap. Atmosphere could be little bit spiced up, specially with sound effects. Overall decent short game.
