I am guessing that since locomotion is still kinda an issue in VR, the dev decided to change the chase portion into a fist fight in VR instea.

The cases has been thoroughly remake for VR. The cutscenes are now play out in real time through Phelp’s eyes. The shooting segment has been made so you can play it with motion like a VR shooter: you get to manually reload and pump your shotgun, take cover by bending or hiding behind pillar. In fist fight segments, you get to punch your opponent with motion like any typical VR boxing game. You can raise your hand to block, punch slap in the head, torso, crotch or where-ever you want. You can bend down or bend backward to dodge punches you can grab the items in the game to examine them closer or toss/put them down. Not all but most items that are light and can be taken with one hand you can drive in first person view, and there are lots of interactive elements. You can wind down window, tap the horn, turn on the siren, pick up the in-car phone, turn the ignition key. If that’s too complicated you can even skip the driving segment. The feeling of driving in a living and breathing open world environment is awesome in VR.
