Last Time I Saw You is a cozy and relaxing 2D exploration game. Light action, environmental puzzles, side quests and collectibles support its heartwarming narrative core, all dripping in nostalgia and affection for a time long gone. I wish the gameplay and level design were more involved, as there’s lots of just moving forward in one direction. Thankfully however, the leash isn’t 100% tight, and the game does a great job at telling its coming-of-age story. Optional side quests exist here, but for me they might as well have been mandatory, with how beautifully written so many of the characters are.

Fascinating art direction is dived into melancholic music which are presenting you lovely trip in cute town inspired by Night in the Woods. Although gameplay doesn’t represent by itself nothing special, the combination of all kind of art gives you an immersive interactive experience. Unfortunately, quite amount of empty dialogues and frequent backtracking corrupt the game. I’ve been following this game since day one. I haven’t played it for too long yet, but I can already tell that it’s a beautifully crafted piece of art that deserves to be experienced! The settings are stunning, the story is engaging, and the gameplay feels fresh and exciting.
