Play fast or slow. Take in the sights as you traverse, or play as fast as a speed runner. The overall structure of the levels, their flow and the pacing of the game and its story is outstandingly well done. That BLAME! Vibe is nailed harder than Jesus to the cross. Game is worth its price and worth your time. If you have an itch for exploration in games, this’ll scratch it like nothing else. If you played and liked NaissanceE, you’ll like this. 8 well spent hours crawling and climbing through a massive and mysterious megastructure, exploring a dying world and ruins of something much greater than yourself. There are definitely parts of this climb more casual players will get frustrated at, and frankly may just not be able to figure out. Certainly you have to be at home with FPS platform jumping movement mechanics. And the feel of the physics movement interactions can be a little uncontrollably off sometimes.
Lorn’s Lure Pre-Installed:
I hate to say that it would have benefited from stronger art even considering the old school style – but the developer has done a workable job with the mega structure and obviously tried their best here. Overall there is some challenging fun here despite the rough edges. There is a great degree of freedom of expression in how you reach your destination and at times the path is very much a puzzle to figure out, though the parkour itself can be quite challenging – I would probably avoid this if you aren’t a fan of 3D platforming as there is legitimate challenge here. There are some parts that are a little rough around the edges (in particular the checkpointing/safe-ground can feel very inconsistent and send you quite a ways back at times, and the controls for some movement like “tic-tac”-ing took a bit of getting used to) but nothing that I’ve found to be a dealbreaker.
