About The Game
Experience the Anime’s Story The story begins with Riko and Reg’s meeting in the first episode of season one. This marks the start of their great adventure, and together they travel to Seeker Camp in the second layer of the Abyss. Experience the awesome power of the Curse of the Abyss, as well as the astonishing, legendary entities known as primeval creatures. Prepare to glimpse the world of Riko and her friends. Experience a Brand-New Story Another story takes place many days after Riko and Reg depart for the Abyss. The world’s sole remaining, unconquered chasm, the Abyss, is the stage where many adventures are born…and disappear. Those who appear in these stories are mesmerized by the power of the Abyss and aim for the bottom of the netherworld. The story about to be told is of the adventures of a nameless Cave Raider in the Abyss.
A lot of premature reviews here. It took me 3 hours and 12 minutes to beat Hello Abyss (story mode). This isn’t the full game. The crafting is extremely limited in this mode, and the game doesn’t tell you that. You are not meant to gather and explore in this mode; it is purely to tell the story of the anime (up until Riko leaves Seeker Camp). The real game is the mode after you beat story. The crafting system, armor, weapons, etc. open up to their full potential in this mode (a lot was hidden in story). I’ve only played 50 minutes of the second mode and have noticed a rather annoying glitch. Enemies spawn right behind me as soon as my camera looks away. Literally anytime my camera is not pointing in X direction a Mon-toyer or whatever the weasel things are called spawns right on top of me. It’s really annoying when you have no pickaxe and can’t get 2 hard stone. I like the game. Try it out if you want. But a lot of these reviews are unfairly premature.
Made in Abyss Binary Star Falling into Darkness Pre-Installed:
The first thing you do when you start the game post-character creation is a puzzle. The game doesn’t tell you what to do, it just lets you figure it out. It’s not a complex puzzle, but it gets you clicking around, equipping items, and learning how to use them to attack. From the start, generally, all gloves are off, and you’re expected to be observant. About 2/3rds of what you’ll be doing revolves around exploring and puzzle solving with switches, pressure plates, levers, blocks, deciphering riddles, and learning land navigation in varied and quite often beautiful, realized environments full of little details. It’s a hand-crafted experience of mythical proportions that I unfortunately cannot properly convey or gush over due to character limit constraints in reviews.
