The game sports a quirky comic book aesthetic, and it seems fitting, as the story is delivered using comic book panels. Each biome has a different theme: From the seemingly more industrial oriented, abandoned and overgrown, to the weird fleshy rooms that are alive and have the munchies. And the soundtrack was decent. Disc Room somewhat successfully gets the juices flowing with its soundtrack. From the synthwave of the mechanical area to the eerie and ominous one in the darkroom area, each brings its own unique flavour to the music score. The sound effects were top-notch. You can almost hear how sharp each blade of the disc is. Whoever made the decapitation sounds, I salute you. Hearing 15 clones get chopped to pieces in a span of 2 seconds is something I never knew I needed in my life.
Magical Girl Clicker Pre-Installed:
The developers anticipated players of all skill levels wanting to challenge Disc Room and have included a number of sliders that can alter the experience, from overall movement speed of the game to how quickly the enemy discs can move. This is a welcomed addition when certain challenges might seem too difficult or you need a little help to proceed. Disc Room really needs no explanation whether or not you’re going to like the motion of dying and retrying. As a fan of self-improvement through trial and error. I loved the sense of finally mastering a room, only to be brought right back down upon failing the next one.
