Your choices will shape your fate and reveal different secrets. Piece together clues from multiple endings to uncover the whole truth. “Kisaragi…had transformed into Mandemon.” The girl said to me. Her slender fingers caressed the piano keys, playing a haunting tune. The misty rain outside the window mirrored her sad expression. Mandemon?.. I pondered this enigmatic word. Had Mr. Kisaragi lost his humanity? Was he killed for being something else? The raindrops kept falling on the window, creating a mournful sound. The pale moonlight penetrated through the rain mist, casting ethereal shadows in the hallway. Something strange was going to happen here tonight. I had to be ready For starters, the translation is quite well done.
At this price point I was expecting a very short visual novel, but the game has a branching system, and I haven’t reached a single one of multiple endings over the 3 hours I’ve played, and the vast majority of the branching options have not been explored, and I’ve gotten no achievements. The game is clearly substantial in its scope. I bought this, thought it looked interesting and price looked good as well, but starting it found this one interesting it has choices and how things go in the story can’t predict what will happen next. The story has horror elements, violence and disturbing mention of an event may not be comfortable for everyone but doesn’t go extreme with such theme that makes one very uncomfortable, but a good Visual Novel for fans of supernatural, mystery.
Mandemon Direct Play:
For the price one will expect a short VN but this offers more for the price paid. There comes a choice at a point in the game, and it’s that character likability that makes it such a hard choice to make, which means that the story and characters are done very well as far as I’m concerned. It felt much harder to balance the social links and the building of your character’s traits in this one compared to 5, but that’s another gripe that’s most likely caused by my bias for moving backwards in the series.
