The last installment of the dungeon-crawling RPG trilogy reaches its stunning conclusion! Will the Blood Maidens finally get their happily ever after? Jail – a living prison for humans, buried 666 meters underground. It appeared suddenly several decades ago, giving birth to monsters called Marchen and patrolled by madness-inducing Nightmares. A group of prisoners, Jack and the Blood Maidens, were reincarnations of fairy tales who dared to escape. They climbed from the bottom of the tower up to the surface, filled with hope… But outside were thousands of corpses soaking in a sea of blood. There stood beings known as Massacre Pink, smiling. In that moment, hope was destroyed. The group was torn asunder, with Jack and the Blood Maidens scattered to their own paths. Separated, they are each drawn to the devouring Jail that floats in the sky… This is the finale to the tale of the Blood Maidens.
The start of the game is a bit slow. All the characters are separated and you have to complete each starting dungeon with small parties of 2 or 3 characters before they reunite. But once they reunite it really gets going. Combat is really engaging with a full team. Each girl can chose from 5 jobs at the start that change their skills and stats and give them new outfits. There are dungeon modifiers to make them more difficult in exchance of extra rewards. There a lot blood related mechanics that may sound a bit much at first but are actually well balanced. If you never played the first 2 games you can view their stories in the bonus section. The game includes a VN where you can date each of the girls (you have to press LB/RB on the main menu screen). The PC version includes all of the DLC including the extra jobs.

However the game itself hasn’t gone completely unscathed. If you loved the previous games or dungeon crawlers in general then you cant miss out on this gruesome one. A major gripe of mine is you will spend the entire game playing with 3 characters but the final battle is not a 3 person battle. You will earn many different types of materials, artifacts, credits, etc. This game is one of those with a whole lot of currency types for unlocking different things Each character does feel unique and putting together 3 that work extremely well together is a fun task. It’s challenging to manage your heroism points for using stronger abilities vs generating those points using quicker attacks on minion enemies.
