Midnight Acres was built using Unreal Engine 5 and features a beautiful and dynamic day and night system. During the daytime, build and expand your farm and engage in casual and relaxing building & management. Gather resources to upgrade your farm and defenses. Relax by exploring the world for treasures, fishing in various ponds and underground lakes, managing your farm, and more! When night falls, you must push back hordes of enemies trying to destroy you and your farm. Engage in intense FPS combat with various weapons. Use tower-defense elements to place and upgrade turrets and defenses for your farm. Explore a vast world with a sprawling cave system and rare collectibles… but beware. Monsters constantly patrol the underground and guard the most valuable treasures.
A nice change of course from the games that constantly tell you want to do every 10 seconds! There also seems to be a fairly large map to explore, 1 hour in I’ve only seen a small part of it, and there’s definitely loot hidden out there. The game kind of reminds me of a simpler, single player Ark Survival Evolved, but with considerably more utility to crafting structures than in ark, and no boring downtime at night You can also swing your ax during the nighttime to try and protect your farm, but the aliens are pretty tough, so it’s much more survivable if you have good defenses. As the sun sets, you’re thrust into a survival scenario where you must defend your farm and yourself from terrifying creatures.
Midnight Acres Direct Play:
This entails cultivating crops and other aspects like resource management and building. The farming aspects offer a peaceful and relaxing gaming experience, allowing players to create and customize their farms. A mix of farming Sim & fps Survival where you farm and gather resources at the morning and at night you have to survive the monsters attack. THe character and the monsters design are awesome. You can farm fruits & vegtibles, go fishing, explore huge map with many caves, build turrets for defense against monsters who will hunt you down during the night time. This switch from a laid-back farming simulation to an intense FPS experience as they need to fortify their defenses, upgrade their weapons, and fight off waves of menacing foes.
