Monster Girl Manager Direct Download
Monster Girl Manager is a monster-raising roguelite that focuses on guiding a team of monster girls through dungeons. All monster girls are procedurally generated from a player entered seed. Entering the same seed will always produce the same Monster Girl, so players can post seeds they have discovered for others to use. In addition to aesthetic traits like eye color and skin color, seeds also influence base stats and personality. Personality and Monster Type directly influence dialogue, skills, abilities, gift preference, and training preference. Monster Girls have different strengths and weaknesses in battle so finding and training different team compositions is a core part of the gameplay loop. Dungeons are designed in a Mystery Dungeon style. Traverse a multi-floor dungeon filled with traps and enemies while managing the health and energy of your team. Collect artifacts during a run that empower your team in battle.
Players can upload their own sprites, dialogue, palettes, and dungeon layouts. No coding is required. Simply edit the included text files and restart the game. Monster Girl Manager reads easy to edit png and text files and includes readme files to aid in file manipulation. Have you ever thought that there are far too many Pokemon-inspired games, and not nearly enough that take a crack at our CD-swapping lord and savior, Monster Rancher? If you have, then first of all – you’re objectively right, you magnificent bastard – but more importantly, I’ve got news: here, finally, is an indie game clearly inspired by that seemingly forgotten stepchild of monster raising franchises. But is it worth your time and money? First off, I want to give a shout-out to the things this game does really well. It absolutely oozes charm, from the sprite work to the quaint little town with four distinct seasons. Summoning various monster girls to see what you’ll get is fun (done via entering text strings, rather than raiding your CD collection, because it’s not 1997), and there seems to be a lot of depth and variety to the team building.
Monster Girl Manager Pre-Installed:
Yes – instead of raising just one monster at a time, you’re raising a whole…err, “harem”, I guess?…and the gameplay revolves around entering dungeons with a squad of up to three girls, where you’ll fight regular non-girl monsters in turn-based battles that rely heavily on positioning. In practice, it ends up being sort of a mix between Monster Rancher and Darkest Dungeon. The biggest offender is the way the game is structured: much like Monster Rancher, there’s a loose calendar of sorts, and each “turn” is a week. Each week, you’ll decide on a training regimen for each of your girls – naturally, they have various likes and dislikes that affect how enthused they are about certain activities – and eventually, they’ll get too tired or stressed to carry on (especially from doing unliked activities), and you’ll need to let them rest and/or bribe them with snacks and tchotchkes. So, just like Monster Rancher – but why doesn’t it work here?
