No Case Should Remain Unsolved Video Game “I remember how surprised I was when I first saw this case. Everyone involved was lying, for one reason or another.” NO CASE SHOULD REMAIN UNSOLVED has you cracking open a decade-old cold case: arranging testimonies by figuring out who said what where and when on a timeline. Scratches the detective itch and then some! Can get a little overwhelming when you have SO MANY testimonies and not quite sure who they belong to: but those sweet EUREKA moments make it so worthwhile. As well as the “wait. if they’re X and they said they were at Z at the time… then who the HECK are YOU?” moments when your assumptions get upended and you have to backtrack a bit. No_Case_Should_Remain_Unsolved is a detective game where players uncover and piece together memory fragments to solve a long-forgotten case. Follow former police detective Jeon Gyeong.
February 5, 2012. A little girl named Seowon is reported missing from a playground. Police launch an investigation and question witnesses and suspects, but Seowon’s case is never solved. Twelve years after Senior Inspector Jeon Gyeong’s retirement, she is visited by a young police officer: a woman who pleads with her to reexamine Seowon’s case. But with each uncovered memory, only one thing becomes clear: everyone in Seowon’s vicinity was lying. A masterful little tale of mystery, sorrow, and family. All packed and tied into a neat ribbon by a deft storyteller, it takes 2 – 3 hour to finish playing and unraveling the unsolved case of Seowon. While the story begins from a single conversation, you uncover many more as your character quickly remembers the many she’s had over case. But it is not simple path from beginning, middle, and end. You’ll find conversations locked, needing to find keywords or even evidence from other testimonies to proceed conversations of your choosing as eventually the knots of the mystery reveals.

The game may be short, but it’s going to sit in my mind for a long time. What an emotional and captivating story. The gameplay isn’t as confusing as others are claiming it is (and it does have a tutorial, actually, it’s just incorporated into the beginning instead of pop-ups like the majority of video games) and it’s very simplistic without being boring, the method of interaction works very well for the format and the story being told. Got a little misty-eyed during the real ending. would recommend this game to anyone who likes interactive stories or just wants to play a short game that’ll tug on your heartstrings just a bit. I liked the game so much that I went and bought the rest of the games from this developer since it looks like they have a similar focus on writing a good story. Amazing game. It can really help you calm down. There’s no rush to anything, but there are a few gripes I have with it. You cannot start a new game. You can only resume your previous game.
