Drink milk, eat ice-cream, collect coins, buy gorgeous boosts, fly like a superhero (sorry… supercat), jump onto platforms made of cake, avoid angry dogs, and discover the infinite space. And that’s not all, you can choose from multiple game modes, where you can play with Nyan Cat’s evil foe Tac Nayn, learn to fly on different planets with Nyan Wings or visit parallel universes. If you’re tired, you can even train and feed your own Nyanagotchi. Oh, and last but not least: you can enjoy the wonderful Nyan-song as many times as you want! All this funky stuff can’t be missed. The game is about Nyan Cat who can jump on all kinds of platforms and collect as much candy and milk as possible. Along the way are some obstacles such as dogs and flying saucers, but also aids, such as magnets that attract candy, rockets or a superman outfit that allows you to fly and much more.
While I’ve heard about the mixed bag of the story for Rift Apart, I enjoyed it. And with some lore videos to catch up with, I like how much Ratchet and Clank have grown as characters. I only had one bug if memory serves, during a level with a spider program against viruses, you can’t walk onto a certain wall without you getting dislodged, and getting stuck. And last thing to note on, with the amount of micro transactions nowadays. It feels like the games of the old days, buy the game, you collect your collectables, find secrets, get new armour, and it rewards you with what games should be for. Fun. My main knock is on the story and the pacing, the story starts out fun and the pacing is pretty standard, but midway through to about three quarters of the way through the story I found myself getting angry with cliche plots and poor attempts at humor, but once the gameplay started again I was willing to forgive some bad writing for a mostly solid story.

This game is varying levels of excellent, tight controls easy to learn and hard to master, and wholly unique levels that twist and turn with an expert flow to them. Craftworld is colourful, vibrant and full of life. It’s a title that just has so much character, I mean, it has an entire level crafted to the beat of Britney Spears’ “Toxic”, an entire level dedicated to David Bowie’s “Let’s Dance”, an entire level grooving to Kool & The Gangs’ “Jungle Boogie”. You just don’t see stuff like that in these games anymore, only the budget allows it and this genre has become so unbelievably indie dominated. I absolutely loved it! It is super fun to play with someone too, and the 100% is very fun and extremely challenging, took a lot of tries and skill.
