Developed by a solo developer with passion about the classic 3D rally games, trying to fill a gap that is missing from modern rally games. This reminds me in all the good ways of late ’90s/early ’00s gaming. No nonsense, just pick a car, a track and go. Unlock cars by winning rallies, no complicated setups…it’s a great throwback for a friendly price. I can already tell this falls in the “Easy to pick up, hard to master” catagory. If you’re a rally nut, or someone who absolutely loves going all-out on getting those final 0.01’s of a second out of a track time, you’ll have even more fun with it. I’m not like that, but I’ll happily keep picking this up for quick plug and play sessions. Time will tell if the developer keeps the update promises, but right now, I’d say it’s already worth the 10 bucks. They had successfuly re-create whats the makes the essence and the fellings of a Rally Games like in the late 90’s / early 00’s If feel like the kiddo I was when playing this game (Huge feels of Collin Mc Rae Rally 2.0 (2000).
Old School Rally Pre-Installed:
I am not one that prefers Rally games, this game, it interested me as the older I get, the more I appreciate the preservation of Retro games and games inspired by them. This game has that charm, the personality and is becoming a favorite of mine! This game brings me hope, hopefully, someday, Need for Speed lll or Hot Stakes era inspired game will come out not from these devs specifically, but an inspiration for others to attempt to re-create them in their own ways. The thing is, we need more retro arcade racers, desperately. This game is a good example of when gameplay is prioritized and creates replay value. I appreciate you devs for this, it’ll be a good game to play on the Steam Deck while I’m at work and on the go!
