You have to continuously remind yourself that it’s a GBA game made with recycled pieces of KH1. I can imagine that this game rules for people who played it on it’s original platform, but going from the previous game, to this, was quite a jarring experience. Also the targeting button is different, so have fun getting use to that. As a game you are trying to get all the achievements for, it’s pretty abysmal. You basically have to do everything, and I mean EVERYTHING three times.
This means, dozens of games of Command board, High scores on all the mini games, some of which are absurd. The arena is particularly difficult due to it being originally tuned for multiplayer on the PSP, yet there is no multiplayer feature available in this port, making all the challenges over-tuned for a single player experience. Have fun doing all that 3 times.. The story is ridiculous, but that’s what makes it fun. All of these DIsney and Square Enix characters speaking so matter-of-factly about in-universe nonsense as if they were talking deep philosophy. You’ve got heroes and villains debating hearts and friendship with the same intensity as a discussion on the meaning of life, all while battling it out with oversized keys and magic spells.

They are becoming, one step at a time, very beginner friendly and even though they still have a long way to go it’s worth a try. The community can get quite toxic so if you are a new player don’t let that discourage you and mute the first chat you’re introduced to, look for a nice guild so you can get as much help as possible and don’t let yourself forget this is a game I started playing this game back when they still were affiliated with Kakao, and even though it’s quite grindy and confusing in many ways I can say they are improving massively, speacially this very last year. The best feature, to me, was in Multiplayer where all players often run into one another via different roles and objectives! I.E. Police robbery turns violent, EMS requested! awesome co-operative gameplay!
