You, a House Alchemist in a futuristic steampunk society, are tasked with creating many products for the lords of your house on the atomic level. Engineering minds will find the mechanics of the Transmutation Table deeply satisfying, and at many points along the game’s storymode, deeply challenging. If that wasn’t enough there is a whole book of difficult bonus products for you to create. And better yet, the game gives you the stats of your tablework in comparison to all other global players, so there is always a way to improve. I found this part of the game super enjoyable, and it was certainly why I came. The other half of the game is the story that it tells along the way, via visual novel cutscenes that progress your status amidst a war between houses. I fell in love with the characters, grew to anticipate the witty responses of Anataeus, and allowed myself to feel like a brilliant alchemical genius.
